Last Day of 2006; New Yr's Eve
It was to cousin's place for a family gathering/reunion dinner once again.
Had SO much good food.
And there was a spead of a total of 4 desserts that night!
One of the desserts was chocolate fondue, my all time fav!
I swear i felt as if i had put on an extra 10kg during this festive season.
We (inclusive of my parents and 2 other aunts) left cousin's house early to head down to Marina Coastal Drive to take a ship/yacht; a cruise to no where.
My mom's boss has booked this posh-chinese-oriental looking ship with 3 decks.
There were about 60 odd ppl of all race and religion on board this ship to no where,
many of which were either Embassedors(spell?) of a country or worked for different country's ministry before.
Mom's boss even hired 2 DJs on board the ship.
Hence, we had a mini clubbing/partying session.
Even better, there was a spread of supper and dessert, followed by free flow of any type of alcohol..
This is wayy better than clubbing in clubs where we must spend a fortune on a jug of any alcohol!
The ship docked at the waters of Vivo City where we watched the
spectacular fireworks of the 2006 countdown.
To my disappointment, the fireworks were not as glamorous as expected.
The ship headed back to Marina Coastal Drive where I spent a few mins feeling the wind on my face.
It was such a nice feeling.
No countdown in crazy crowds, no hassle to go home, absolute fun.
We all got dragged onto the dance floor by some hyper extrovert lady ( she's probably one of my mom's boss's friend/family) and was being forced to dance.
Though this was a very very weird sight ( imagine dancing in a mini club with ur ur PARENTS and aunts?!)
But still, seeing them so ON(though they have two left feet), i felt even more obliged to continue dancing with them for FUN's sake..
It was a fun-filled night indeed..
The ship docked at Marina Coast at 1am where we all still refused to leave the dance floor, so we all stayed on till about close to 2am.
Last but not least, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!
