Today's topic: Compete or Perform?

I was asked to join the school (SIM) dance team for this Funkamania XIII competition.
Though the instructor said that as a whole, we're still not ready for competition standard.
However, Dreamwerkz just decided to give it a shot, in hope to, of course, level-up themselves and to get inspired by those pro dancers out there.

Then, on that same day that i was asked to join Dreamwerkz for Funka comp, NUS d'hoppers also asked me to join their team for Funka's showcase (ie, an item, part of the whole program; not competing against others)
Those ppl who want to perform for this showcase, have to go thru a stringent audition round whereby the instructor of d'hopper (who'll also choreo our showcase item) will then select potential dancers to perform.

The dilemma:

I know Dreamwerkz most probably won't get into the finals (cos a comp is not all bout winning), but it's a good leaning opportunity and bonding for session for all of us to climb the progressing ladder tgt.

For d'hoppers, i know i'll be able to level up with them, but i might get demoralized/stressed if i cant catch up.
Furthermore, since this is a big scale performance, they'll require pro-potential dancers to perform, not just OK dancers.
And im already losing confidence in myself even before gg for the auditions!

THE Qns:
I am more towards joining the NUS team.
But does that mean i'll be betraying my school or my team mates?
I want to try audition for NUS, cos if i get selected, it's a confirmation as a dancer.
But if i dont get selected, does that mean im lousy?
I believe by joining the NUS team, i'll bring myself to the nxt level (with much more potential dancers), just as much as in SIM. (but maybe NUS will make me level up more?)

Im just gg round and round thinking bout these stuff all day and night.
I believe i can be committed to all the practices, cos i still attend dance classes and informal sessions (both NUS and SIM), during my exam period.

The Verdict:
DON'T KNOW LAHH!

hahahaha.
